Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Psalm 5:11-12

We can rejoice because our trust is in God! We can rest assured that He will defend us, and protect us with His shield.

Now does this mean that trials won’t come? That our lives will be easy and free from pain and sorrow?

No, my friend. Trials will come. But the good news, is that we can hold on to God to lead us through those trials.

He has already won the battle! Stay close to Jesus! Choose Him every single day!

Now it is your turn!

What Bible verse is blessing you today?

  1. Love the verses. I especially love, “With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” I love that image of God surrounding His child with a shield. Nothing can get past that. 😊❤

  2. Philippians 1:6 “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
    I’ve been listening to the song:
    “He’s still working on me
    To make me what I need to be…
    In the mirror of His word
    Reflections that I see
    Makes me wonder why He never gave up on me
    But He loves me as I am and helps me when I pray
    Remember He’s the potter, I’m the clay…
