Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And you are exalted as head over all.

1 Chronicles 29:11

Sometimes (dare I say; “often times”) life surprises us.  A medical diagnosis that you didn’t see coming, a tragic accident where a life is ended. These things surprise us. But they don’t surprise God. He knows the beginning and the end.

So when life throws you a curve ball, don’t panic. Just daily walk with God and He will lead you trough the surprises.

I’m thankful that God is in control and that I don’t need to worry.

Now it is your turn!

What Bible verse is blessing you today?

  2. Love this verse and love to sing this song! Everything in heaven & earth is His. Amen!
    The verse in my reading today that I paused to obey is from 2 Chronicles 6:41 …”let Thy godly ones rejoice in what is good.” Rejoicing in what is good – He is good! His Word is good! It is good to give thanks to Him, to obey His Word! ….

  4. Amen! This goes along with my post today too. It’s comforting to know God is so much bigger than anything we go through and He is the one in control. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  5. Hi Trish! Good choice! My favorite today is Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (NIV)

  6. You are so right! While things do surprise us, they do not surprise God. He is ready and able if we trust in Him. thank you for sharing this encouraging message today.

    I read James 1:17 this morning. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (NIV) Sometimes it is hard to see the gift (or blessing) in the midst of our trials, but they are there nonetheless. God bless!
