Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

The Lord will guide you always;
He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11 (NIV)

There is so much promise and hope in this verse! God is our guide, He is our strength, He supplies our needs, and gives us more than enough!

If you are feeling lost, remember God is your guide! Pray and ask for His leading.

If you are feeling empty, like you’ve given everything you have and there is nothing left. Pray to God to refill you!

If you are feeling weak, and like you can’t go on, God has promised that He will satisfy your every need!

I think sometimes we forget. We move ahead of God. We step out, and think, I’ve got this one. Oh, dear one, we don’t really! On our own, we are weak.

Every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17)

It’s not anything we did. And it definitely isn’t what we deserve! But God! He loves us! He wants to be our guide, to be our strength and to supply our every need.

Take time to ask Him today, and everyday, every moment.

This song popped into my head as I was writing this post. I hope you enjoy it!

Now it is your turn!

What Bible verse is blessing you today?

  1. I could just stop and thank God for the first part of your verse: “The Lord will guide you always…” What a comforting verse! This morning I have been reflecting on 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.” My prayer this morning (and each day) is that I will handle His Word accurately, even with my limited knowledge and understanding, because I long for God’s approval. So, your verse is a great comfort today!

  2. Love this! The Lord is with wherever we are and wherever we go. We should be looking to Him and can lean on Him when we feel weak or unsure of what to do. Thanks for sharing this! 🙂 Great reminders!

  3. Thank you. I really needed this today of all days. *hug* The last two weeks have been hard, but this week even more so as it seems everything is falling apart at the same time! It can be so overwhelming.

  4. Normally I just read this in my inbox, but I haven’t had time to read this one. So glad it showed up on Facebook. Woke up this morning anxious. God has blessed us with an amazing new house that meets most all of our needs, and now I am letting anxiety about packing start in. 😬 This was a good reminder and I will read it several times. Thanks for the encouragement.
