Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.
I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!
Today’s Thursday Encouragement:
With all the sorrow, and death in this world it is easy to get discouraged. But dear friends, there is Good News!
Jesus is coming soon! We don’t know when, but He has promised to return and take us Home to Heaven to live with Him. There will be no more sadness, no more death, no more tears.
Waiting can be so very difficult, but it will be well worth it when we behold our Savior face to face!
Are you ready? I pray that you are ready! I hope that you are keeping your lamp burning for Jesus and watching for His soon return.
Take a moment to listen to this song, “We Shall Behold Him” by Sandi Patti

Thank you for this word of inspiration. I have a funeral this weekend and that always weighs heavily upon my heart. These words of hope made me smile. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the YouTube link to work, but I plan on trying again in the future. Thank you for sharing these encouraging words and this musical recommendation!

A passage that has always brought me comfort when a loved one has died is:
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
I’m sorry the link didn’t work for the youtube video. It has worked every time I tired it. Sometimes different web browsers have difficulty. You could always just type the song name and artist into a youtube search and it will come up. I hope you get to hear it. It’s a beautiful song!

That is a great verse. We read that sometimes at funerals 🙂 I’m going to try just searching You Tube for the song as well.

Great encouragement! I read this morning from 1 Corinthians 8:3 “But if any one loves God, he is known by Him.” I love that we are fully known by Him, yet completely loved!

With everything that is going on in the world, around the country, and also in our personal lives, this is such an important and beautiful promise to hold on to. Thank you for sharing this verse and also the beautiful song by Sandi Patty.

Amen! We aren’t supposed to to know exactly when he’s coming back, but since we know he IS coming back, we should be ready!

Great encouragement, Trisha! I love these posts! The verse I read this morning that spoke to me is 1 Peter 2:24: “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness, by His wounds we have been healed!”
