Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
for my expectation is from Him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

Psalms 62: 5 & 6 (NKJV)

This verse jumped out at me this week. Maybe because I needed the reminder to wait. I think that this is a reminder that I need often. You see, I’m a doer. I like to get things done. I plan ahead, and then make things happen. I’m not so good at the “just wait and see”.  But time and time again, this is what God is telling me “wait”. Don’t rush ahead. So I take a deep breath and I wait.

Now it is your turn!

What Bible verse is blessing you today?

  1. Amen! I have a hard time waiting. I mean, why can’t God do things on our timeline? The truth is, it will come out better if we just wait on Him. Love this verse!!

  2. Waiting is so hard! I’ve asked God several times this week to hurry up. LOL! But, God’s timing is perfect, and your verse reminds me of this.

    Happy early Mother’s Day, Trisha!
