Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
Psalms 36:5 (NLT)

Have you ever stood outside at night time and gazed at the stars? If you are someplace very dark, with little to no electric lights to mar your view, the array of stars is breathtaking! There are billions of stars, more than we could even begin to count, in just our own galaxy.

When scientists look through their telescopes they have found hundreds of billions of other galaxies. We have only scratched the surface of how vast space really is.
God’s love for us is even bigger than that!

If you enjoy watching video clips I found one on youtube (click here) that will give you a quick visual representation to just how tiny Earth is and how vast the reaches of the heavens are!

Take a moment to read the verse again and just allow it to settle into your heart. God, the creator of the universe loves you!

Now it is your turn!

What Bible verse is blessing you today?

  1. Excellent & encouraging verse about God’s unfailing love! Today this verse is on my mind: “The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” ~ Psalm 138:8

  2. It’s so hard for me to fathom the extent of God’s love! I absolutely love star gazing, and am fortunate to live in the country so I can actually see the stars. What a beautiful world our God has created!
