His Encouragement

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you:
Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Romans 12: 1-2 (MSG)

I don’t know about you, but I enjoy reading verses in different versions of the Bible. I feel it gives me a clearer understanding. A friend of mine recently shared Romans 12:1-2 with me in The Message Bible and I really appreciated the translation. I wanted to share this with you and encourage you to give all to God. The big and small. Fix your attention on Him!

Now it is your turn!

His Encouragement -2020

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

As you go about your day, who are you reflecting? Have you ever heard the old saying, “Good in, Good out”?  Another verse that comes to mind is Proverbs 4:23-27

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”

As we start into this New Year make intentional, daily decisions to focus on God and things above! Pray and ask for God to help you, to walk with you daily and put a guard on your heart.

His Encouragement: #49

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

In this the love of God was manifested toward us,
that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through Him.

In this is love, not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent His Son
to be the propitation for our sins.

1 John 4: 9 & 10

The greatest gift is love. God poured out His love for us through Jesus Christ. As children of God we should in turn, pour out God’s love to others so that they may come to know Him! “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:11)
“Let us not love in word, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18)

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

This Christmas, instead of focusing on what you need to do, worship God for what He has done for you. Instead of focusing on what you lack, focus on God’s love.

My prayer this Christmas is that we can all be reminded of who God is. That we can stop focusing on our to-do lists and start focusing on the amazing gift of Jesus!

O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You, I will praise Your name,

For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

 Isaiah 25:1

A statement of fact and a statement of faith. Boldly proclaiming our God and our deep personal relationship with Him.

I pray that you can say this verse in faith and love, boldly claiming your deep personal relationship with God. If not, I pray that you find time this season to get to know God better!

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jude 1: 20-21

So what is this saying you might ask… It’s reminding us the importance of daily maintaining our life with God, and encouraging us to continue to look for Jesus’s soon return.

I encourage you today sweet friend to stay close to Jesus, make time for Him in your daily life. Be ready, and keep looking for Jesus’ soon return (Matthew 25:13).

Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2

Friends, it is so easy to find ourselves so wrapped up in what is going on in the world, that we forget what we are supposed to be doing. We are constantly bombarded by media and busyness.

Take time today, to schedule for yourself daily time to spend with God. Time reading your Bible, singing praises and praying! I promise that it will be time well spent and that you will find your peace returned.
