His Encouragement:

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

“Take heed that you do not despise one of these
little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels
always see the face of My Father who is in Heaven.”
Matthew 18:10

In the eyes of God, you are precious. His love for you is unconditional and everlasting. Learn to celebrate every gift that God has given you. You are blessed, and He is watching over you. Let the joy of the Lord fill your heart with love and laughter.

Last week our son was very sick, and we ended up taking him to the ER. Where we found out that he was in Diabetic Ketoacidosis. His pancreas had quit working and the sugar in his body just kept building up, overwhelming his system. They immediately put him on two IV’s one with insulin and the other with fluid as well as many monitors. Shocked and overwhelmed, we never saw it coming. The doctors told us that there wasn’t anything we could have done to prevent this. They say it is genetic, though there isn’t anyone on either side of our family that has type 1 diabetes.

We were in the hospital for 4 days getting his glucose stable and learning about Type 1 Diabetes. Its a steep learning curve, we are still learning! Through it all I prayed constantly and I kept reminding myself that God loves my son even more than I do. That God see’s my son and what is happening and that even though this awful thing has happened, God can make something beautiful out of this.

What ever trial you are going through, I pray that you remember that God loves you, and that God is watching over you.

Now it is your turn!

Since you were precious in My sight,
you have been honored, and I have loved you.
Isaiah 43:4

Because God created you in His image, you are precious to Him. God created you for His glory. He wants the world to see some of His majesty and goodness through you, and He wants to crown you with His own splendor. He has not promised to keep you out of the wilderness or away from the desert, but if you belong to Him, He does promise to sustain you and renew your life when times are difficult. You can always count on God!

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into
the love of God and into the patience of Christ
2 Thessalonians 3:5

Directing your heart into the love of God will only happen when the Lord becomes your priority and you choose to spend time with Him daily. The patience of Christ is part of growing closer to Him moment by moment. I don’t know about you, but I have faced times when my patience has been thin and I’ve needed an extra dose. Let the love of Jesus fill your heart as you walk closely with Him.

His Encouragement: Filled with love

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness
in the day of judgement; because as He is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear
involves torment. But He who fears has not been made perfect in love.
We love Him because He first loved us.
1 John 4:16-19

You were created with the love of God in your heart. It is a gift that He gives everyone. Let the love you have been given shine brightly for others to see. When you let the light of God’s love flow to those around you, He will bless you and give you the confidence to live each day for His glory.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
James 4:8

God will always give you all the space you want. He has never been known to be an intruder in anyone’s life. He gives you an invitation to draw near to Him. When you choose to do that, everything in life changes. God has promised to give you the peace that passes all understanding. Let each day be filled with His presence.

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24

Everyone needs to know they are loved. Sweet positive words from you can bring joy and confidence to others. We all need to hear that we are loved and appreciated. When you speak words of encouragement, you are giving building blocks for life. Let those in your life know each day how special they are in your eyes and in God’s.

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life.
Psalm 27:1

When you discover that everything in life that has importance comes from God, you will be given the wisdom you need to fulfill your responsibilities. The patience to overcome the challenges you encounter come from allowing God to be part of your everyday life. Depend on His Spirit to help you be the person He wants you to be.

Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Psalm 138:8

The one thing that is certain and will never change is that God loves you with an everlasting love. Speak to Him daily, share His precious Word, and pray daily for His divine guidance. God will come to you when you humbly seek Him, because He has promised to be with you always.

His Encouragement: Rescue

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you,
O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have
called you by your name; you are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will
be with you; and through the rivers, they
shall not overflow you. When you walk
through the fire, you shall not be burned,
nor shall the flame scorch you.

For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One
of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your
ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

Since you were precious in My sight,
you have been honored, and I have loved you;
therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
and gather you from the west;

Isaiah 43: 1-5 (NKJV)

God knew that we needed to be rescued, and dear friend He sent his one and only Son to rescue us. Jesus rescued us, when He died on the cross for our sins. He will continue to rescue us as we pass through the trials of life. He will not leave us! Call on His name and rest in Him. God also uses people in our lives to encourage us through the tough times. He uses your voice, and my voice. He uses your hands and my hands. And once you have been rescued, you can never stand by idle while others drown. God wants to use you, but first He wants to rescue you.

One day soon Jesus will come back in clouds of glory to bring us home to live with Him forever! I eagerly anticipate that wondrous day!
