His Encouragement: Filled with Love

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Love has been perfected among us in this:
that we may have boldness in the day of judgement

1 John 1: 16 – 17

You were created with the love of God in your heart. It is a gift that He gives everyone. Let the love you have been given shine brightly for others to see. When you let the light of God’s love flow to those around you, He will bless you and give you the confidence and boldness to live each day for His glory.

❤ ❤  There is nothing more important that God’s love for you. ❤ ❤

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life.

When you discover that everything in life that has importance comes from God, you will be given the wisdom you need to fulfill your responsibilities. The patience to overcome the challenges you encounter come from allowing God to be part of your everyday life. Depend on His Spirit to help you be the person He wants you to be.

His Encouragement: Rescue

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you,
O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have
called you by your name; you are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will
be with you; and through the rivers, they
shall not overflow you. When you walk
through the fire, you shall not be burned,
nor shall the flame scorch you.

For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One
of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your
ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

Since you were precious in My sight,
you have been honored, and I have loved you;
therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
and gather you from the west;

Isaiah 43: 1-5 (NKJV)

God knew that we needed to be rescued, and dear friend He sent his one and only Son to rescue us. Jesus rescued us, when He died on the cross for our sins. He will continue to rescue us as we pass through the trials of life. He will not leave us! Call on His name and rest in Him. God also uses people in our lives to encourage us through the tough times. He uses your voice, and my voice. He uses your hands and my hands. And once you have been rescued, you can never stand by idle while others drown. God wants to use you, but first He wants to rescue you.

One day soon Jesus will come back in clouds of glory to bring us home to live with Him forever! I eagerly anticipate that wondrous day!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10

Everything in this world seems upside down. Our normal has been wiped away and we are living in uncertain times.

But take heart dear friends, because God is on the throne. Nothing surprises God. He is in control. Rest safely in His hands!

His Encouragement: Walking with Jesus

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

Trust in Him at all times, you people;
pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us.

Psalms 62:8 (NKJV)

There is a little song that I remember singing in early elementary school, the words are “Walking in the sunshine, walking in the shadows, walking every day, walking with Jesus my Lord”.

I pray that you are walking every day with Jesus our Lord. Whether you find yourself in the sunshine or in the shadows.

God loves you dear friend. His greatest desire is that you choose to love Him and to walk with Him, and talk with Him daily.

His Encouragement: Letting go

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

“Not by might nor by power,
but by My Spirit,”
says the Lord of hosts.

Zachariah 4:6

This has been an exceptionally difficult week for me. This morning when I opened up my Bible reading plan and read this verse, I felt peace wash over me. Let go and let God.

I don’t have the answers. But I do know that God has this ALL in His hands. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and. hope” (Jeremiah 29:11)

His Encouragement: Understanding

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts”

Isaiah 55: 8 & 9

We may not always understand why things happen. But we can be at peace knowing that no matter what happens, that God knows the end from the beginning and He is walking with us every step of the way. (Isaiah 43:2)

“For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known” (1 Corinthians 13:12)

His Encouragement: Nothing can separate

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels
nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things
to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8: 38 & 39

In this time when separation is required of each of us for the safety of all of us, it is easy to feel profound loss, sadness, and loneliness. For some their emotional cup requires solitude for replenishing. For others, their emotional cup requires social engagement.

For those feeling empty due to the isolation, I want to take this moment to remind you that you are never truly alone. God is always with us. Sometimes we just get so busy in the daily tasks that we don’t take the time to seek Him and spend time with Him. It’s hard to hear His voice if you don’t know what it sounds like. Spending time with God daily and building that relationship is essential.

My encouragement for you today is two-fold:
One, a reminder that you are never alone. God is with you, He loves you, and nothing can separate you from Him.
Two, take this time to reconnect with God. Spend time reading His word. Spend time listening and or singing hymns and praise songs. Spend time in prayer!

If you need to talk to a person, reach out to family or a friend! You can do Bible study together via facetime, skype, or zoom. You don’t have to wait for a church service to worship God! I have discovered that my heart is happiest when I’m singing praises to God. Give it a try!

Please feel free to share with me ways that you are staying connected with others and with God.

His Encouragement: Heart

Welcome to His Encouragement. I have joined with some blogging friends to bring you a new Bible verse every Thursday, and a little discussion of hope and encouragement. We welcome you to join the conversation by adding your daily verse of encouragement as well.

I pray that these Thursday posts become an encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or
at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the
Lord does not see as a man sees; for a man looks at the
outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16: 7

Are you feeling like you don’t quite measure up? Maybe you made a mistake at school or at work, and others noticed and pointed out your shortcomings. Words hurt. No matter how much the old manta “stick and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me”; may dance around in our heads, the truth is, words do hurt and often they leave a lasting scar on our memories.

Today, remember that God looks at the heart. You are His precious child. You are loved!
