The Bounty Hunter’s Bargain by Lucette Nel

About the book:

Jack Sullivan has a runaway wife to return and a bounty to collect. A gunshot lands him at the feet of Annabelle Lawson and jeopardizes a promise he can’t afford to break. Can he set aside his heart and focus on what he came to do?

Annabelle Lawson had finally picked up the fragments of her heart. Why did Jack have to crash back into her world? She may have to care for the injured bounty hunter, but she refuses to help him cash in on his professed ‘easy money’. Nor will there be a second chance at claiming her heart.

My Thoughts:

From start to finish I enjoyed my time within the pages of this newest story from Lucette Nel. A heartwarming story of love and forgiveness, with page-turning action and drama. I simply couldn’t put this story down. These dynamic characters soon felt like friends.

Annabelle is a strong, independent woman. She successfully runs her own business, and helps her community. She has a big heart! I felt like I was there in her kitchen, enjoying conversation, a cup of tea and fresh ginger snaps.

Jack is trying to put back the pieces of his life and make some money in order to be able to finally put down roots. He see’s this bounty as a critical component to meeting his goals, so much so that he has blinders on to what is going on behind the scenes. When things start to unravel will he figure out the truth in time to protect those that he cares most about?

This story has a few fun twist that kept me guessing and turning pages to find out what would happen next. If you enjoy inspirational western romance with a fun twist of adventure, then do yourself a favor and pick-up a copy to enjoy!

A Match of Sorts by Lucette Nel

Synopsis:

As Christmas approaches, widowed Reverend Caleb Brennan needs a wife, or his vengeful father-in-law will take his young daughters. When his mail-order bride jilts him, Caleb grows desperate. During a storm, he finds an unconscious boy outside his home with signs of foul play. Despite his previous misfortune, obligation compels Caleb to lug the stranger inside. But as he provides first aid, he discovers more than he expected.

Bounty hunter Grace Blackwell refuses to owe a debt to any man, especially one as charming as Reverend Brennan. To repay him for saving her life, Grace agrees to pose as his mail-order bride. If their ploy is discovered, Caleb could lose his daughters. But in their pretense, the reverend and the bounty hunter might just both lose their hearts.

My Thoughts:

If you are looking for a sweet Christmas western novella, then look no further! Just released this month, A Match of Sorts is a page-turning delight.

Caleb Brennan is a hero you won’t soon forget! A widower with two adorable daughters that will steal your heart. He is a devoted and tender father, a caring brother and a handsome rescuer.

Grace Blackwell is tough as nails. She has to be, she’s been on her own since she was 16. Suddenly she finds herself needing someone, and that revelation is scary.

Will these two unlikely characters be able to allow themselves to trust each other, or will the walls they’ve built keep them apart?

Pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and settle in for a delightful, page-turning story that is sure to not only entertain you but to also remind you of the deep love of our Savior, who gave up everything for us.

(I purchased a digital copy of this book from Amazon. I am not required to write positive reviews. The thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.)
